Calyx Containers exists to solve some of the largest problems facing the budding cannabis industry: packaging and inventory management.  Rooted in the cannabis industry, our passion is transforming how people transport, brand, and consume the products they love.   We’ve developed a suite of packaging products for flower, concentrates, joints, in addition to a modular tray system designed to standardize the transportation and reconciliation process. We’ve made it easier for industries requiring child-resistant packaging to be compliant in a unique and modern way.

Working towards a closed loop system for 100% product reprocessing, with many products and patents pending, we’re delivering on our promise to improve the way that businesses are run in the legal cannabis industry, and beyond.
We are looking for an experienced and motivated Marketing leader to join our team. The Director of Marketing will be charged with building and scaling the marketing department to drive customer awareness and acquisition, while also focusing on consumer engagement and support to drive preference and pull-through for some of the most premium products on the market.  Responsible for the evolution and custody of the brand, you will work closely with our growing Design and Sales teams to optimize the creative assets and outreach.
Areas of responsibility:
Customer Acquisition and Engagement: 
-Author the annual marketing plan that details campaign concepts, communication plans, asset lists
-Develop and execute a customer acquisition strategy
-Partner with the internal teams to provide an exceptional customer experience
-Develop educational and informational content for nurture and drip campaigns
Digital Marketing:
-Work closely with stakeholders to ensure that Calyx delivers a superior digital experience for customers and consumer
-Ensure our website is best-in-class
-Develop social media, email and paid advertising plans that deliver consistent messaging
-Partner with key customers to develop and distribute content that provides awareness and validation of products
-Develop, manage and execute a digital marketing budget
Advertising and PR:
-Develop an annual media buying plan for print, radio, digital and other
-Display data-driven decision making, sharing key results and learnings with stakeholders
-Optimize spend, distribution and content based on key findings
-Develop relationships and partner with key influencers
Content Creation and Budget:
-Direct and develop all content needs for the organization both internally and externally
-Ability to work on multiple content formats (print, packaging, video, digital/web, social)
-Develop annual creative budget
Brand and Product Launch:
-Develop key messaging and usp’s for all products
-Identify and develop personas with tailored messaging based on use-cases and pain-points
-Manage and execute a successful launch plan in conjunction with key stakeholders
-Ensure the integrity and consistency of our brand
About You:
-At least 8-10 years of professional experience in similar roles
-Past experience managing outside agencies
-You’re creative minded, but data-driven with a bias towards turning insights into actions
-You’re a self-starter and comfortable working at a fast pace with just enough information
-Experience with Salesforce, HubSpot or other CRM’s and marketing automation tools
-Proficient in various design programs (Adobe Creative Cloud Suite or similar)
-Strong project management skill set and communication skills
-Experience in cannabis or packaging industry highly preferred
