It’s definitely a popular strain. I was told their stock of Sour Diesel was nearly depleted, and that I’d come just in time. I walked away with the bag in my pocket and excitement in my heart. By the time I’d finished with the farmer’s market, took the dog to the park, and made a run to the pharmacy, it was late in the afternoon.

Most will say that Sour Diesel is a daytime strain ripe with the potential for causing insomnia. I agree, but because I’d designated Saturday evening and night as a time to catch up on a few deadlines, I wasn’t concerned.

It’s a good thing I’d planned to stay up because I was gifted with the Diesel Sour experience that packed a punch of cerebral energy. After a few inhales and a pleasant head rush, my creativity soared. The projects I’d been meaning to do for weeks whizzed by like nothing at all. All the while, I felt relaxed in a way that reminded me of a low-strength indica. I wouldn’t say there was something as intense couchlock with the Sour Diesel I tried. However, I definitely wasn’t inclined to getting out of my office chair for the hours that the strain lasted.

Unfortunately, I did experience one of the more annoying side effects of some high THC sativas: increased anxiety and paranoia. It only lasted for a short fifteen-minute burst. Regardless, I’d be remiss not to mention it. If you’re easily impacted by higher THC content, I recommend proceeding slowly when partaking of Sour Diesel. Much of the negative effects of higher THC strains can be warded off by adjusting your intake and being aware of your bodily responses.
